The Wild Garden
Much of my inspiration comes from the gardens and wild places around me in Toronto’s High Park. I’m drawn to the small, changing moments — flowers growing where they please, reflections on water, birds and animals going about their lives. These are the colours, shapes and moments that often find their way into my paintings.
Every spring, Canada geese raise their families around the ponds. I love watching the goslings grow from tiny balls of fluff into increasingly independent — and opinionated — young geese.
Water, wildflowers and tangled greenery — one of those quiet corners of High Park where there is always something new to notice.
